These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty

That's a great line from a Seinfeld storyline. Kramer lands a bit part in a Woody Allen movie and his only line is "These pretzels are making me thirsty." Of course Jerry, Elaine, and George, all have to show Kramer how to pronounce it, so the line is repeated many times throughout the episode.

These pretzels are making me thirsty.

When you're thirsty, you drink. When you're real thirsty you have to keep drinking. In fact, throughout our entire lives we will have to drink often because we continually get thirsty.

The human being cannot go more than three days without water before it gets dangerous.

Doctors today suggest drinking lots of water daily for optimum health benefits.

That's for sustaining the body. The flesh.

What about the spirit?

You could be the most hydrated person on the planet and have a dry thirsty spirit. In fact, you could actually be dead spiritually.

What do we do about that? Is there a tap we can go to? A faucet? A well?

John 7: 37-38 (AMP) - "Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! (38) He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water."

Yes. There is. It's Jesus.

In fact, it's only Jesus.

He is speaking about the need for the thirst of the spiritual man to be quenched.

As water is a staple for life in the flesh, Jesus is the source of life for the spirit, AND also the entire person. For when the spirit of man is made alive in Him and nourished, the entire life is ordered properly and nourished.

You can't live without water. You also can't live without Jesus.

Nourish your whole self today. Don't just settle for mere existing for the short time you have on this planet. Prepare yourself for your eternal existence.

Stay quenched!

Keepin' it Real,
