Search And Destroy

There was good reason to have Jesus die as soon as possible. Satan knew his days were numbered unless he could get to Jesus before He would get to the Cross.

All of hell knows the Word of God. They also know the prophecies concerning Jesus.

One in particular made it a matter of priority that the infant needed to die.

Genesis 3:15 (AMP) - "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel."

As a matter of self preservation Satan begins his plan to kill Jesus. He uses the black and hardened heart of King Herod. An actual bounty was placed upon the head of the baby Jesus.

Matthew 2:13 (AMP) - "Now after they had gone, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, Get up! [Tenderly] take unto you the young Child and His mother and flee to Egypt; and remain there till I tell you [otherwise], for Herod intends to search for the Child in order to destroy Him."

God was one step ahead of the plans of the devil and Herod. He was able to get Jesus away from harm.

It was not His appointed time to die.

One day it would be.

Fortunately for us the time came and went according to the plan of God and not Satan's.

Had it been up to Satan, we would all be dead in our sins and serving him.

Instead, God has provided a great salvation.

What a pity that so many refuse Him.

A Savior has come into the world and so few will recognize or acknowledge Him.

His purpose has been fulfilled.

Christmas to the Cross. All in about 33 years. Only 3 1/2 years of actual ministry of healing and salvation.

He accomplished so much in so short of time.

For us, we won't have to worry about clocks and calendars much longer. He is coming back soon to gather His believers.

Until then, there is much work to be done.  SOZO work. Many still need to be saved, healed, and delivered.

That's our task, and Christmas is a great time to carry it out.

Keepin' it Really Christmas,
