Jesus Good. Devil Bad.

The purpose of Jesus Christ.  I could explain in my best theological jargon, or I could make it understandable. 

Jesus came to undo everything the devil has done. Simple. It's simple and it's as straight from the Word as we can get.

1 John 3:8 (AMP) - "The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]."

All the bad stuff is straight from hell and Jesus has undone it.

Keep that in your sights and wrap your brain around it.  It really is a rock solid foundation of a healthy understanding about God and how He interacts with us.

We could of course itemize all what destroying the works of Satan entails.

But we are keeping it simple this morning.

Devil = Bad.

Jesus = Good. 

Jesus always extends His goodness toward us.

The devil wants to kill you.

Just wanted to make sure you have that straight today.

You'd be surprised how many believers think that God has something against them.

They make God as a "co-conspirator" with the devil against the human race.

Jesus said "a house divided against itself cannot stand". Remember when they accused Him of demonic activity (Matt. 12:24-25)?

Most of the time today the accusations are just out of ignorance. A believer needs to know the Truth.

Something good happened in church on Sunday. By Monday the devil tried to kill me.

It's that simple. 

Oh, how he tries.

Yet, Jesus prevails. I expect Him to. Always.

Jesus NEVER fails.
