"Garden Variety Deception", by Pastor Kevin Lynch

Gen. 3:11 - "And He said, Who told you that you were naked?"

Nothing has changed in 6,000 years. What had revealed the sin of Adam and Eve will still reveal the deception and lies of people today.

The ways and means might differ slightly, but it's still a convicting fear of discovery.

Today it's not physical nakedness, but rather a nakedness of the spirit revealed in the fearful unwillingness to be confronted about one's own actions.

So much more is said by the desperate attempt to avoid, then by willfully trying to defend sinful actions.

By the revelation of the Holy Spirit, and I can attest to this personally, the past becomes revealed in an instant pertaining to things that in times past might not ever have been considered.

Rest assured, the deceiver will always tip their hand revealing things that in the natural we might not have ever considered being true. Things long buried, where there had never even been a question as to a persons truthfulness and honesty, are now revealed in an "Aha!" moment.

A hasty retreat versus acting according to rules of Christian decency and protocol is all we even need.

Essentially it is "Who told you that you were naked?"

Listen to the Voice of God, and heed the revelation of the Spirit. Working together they will go far in preserving you and the work of the Church.

That is about as "Real" as it gets!
