"This Is How We Roll"

Here is the Great Example. You've heard of the Great Commission? Well, here's the Great Example. This is why Jesus came. This is how Jesus rolls.

This is how we roll.

Luke 4:18 (KJV) - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

You are either going to accept that anointing from Jesus or not. You are going to roll with Jesus or not.

If this isn't what "church" is normally, then it's not normal. Even Isaiah 61 prophesied it exactly.

In other words, it's what God has always wanted.

Let me ask you. If not in church, every church, on Sunday and any other day possible, then where?

Sure, we can do this everywhere and anywhere, and we should as often as possible, but surprisingly the greatest gathering of captives, brokenhearted, physically ill, bruised and downright shattered people we will find are sitting all around us in church on Sunday.

Do we just let them bleed out in front of us?

Church can be viewed as a simple gas station, or it can function as a full repair shop.

A battlefield M.A.S.H unit, or a comprehensive care hospital?

I can no longer let them leave in the same condition as they walked in. I just can't.

Jesus didn't. I won't. We won't.

Think about how you are "doing" church. Please. How many are getting out with just a simple slap on the back, a handshake, and a hearty "we'll pray for ya'"?

The place I "roll" is determined to bring church back to what Jesus intended.

Keepin' it Real,

Pastor Kevin <><
